What are the defects?

The 2 models of bicycles are provided with factory fitted mudguards and fork safety bolts in place. In some cases customers have removed the fork safety bolt and the mudguards. This is against the advice given on the bicycle user manual.

What are the hazards?

If the safety bolt is not kept on the fork and if the fork brakes during use the rider may lose control and fall, possibly causing serious injury.

What should consumers do?

Consumers should stop using the bicycle immediately and return it to the place of purchase to arrange for a replacement fork to be fitted, free of charge.
